How do I add or restore a shortcut to Faculty on File?

  1. Go to Start --> My Network Places. (If that’s not there, go to Start --> My Computer and click on My Network Places under the “Other Places” heading on the left).
  2. If Faculty on File is not there, click on Add a Network Place on the left under the Network Tasks heading.
  3. Click Next on the first screen of the Add a Network Place Wizard
  4. Choose “Choose another network location” on the next screen, which asks “Where do you want to create this network place?”; then, click Next.
  5. Type the following (without the quotation marks) in the address bar:  \\file\faculty
  6. Click Next
  7. Click Next again
  8. Click Finish
     

That will create a shortcut to the Faculty on File folder for you.
